Other tools in November: AI reaches the accounts, the agents and the phones

Not every AI change that matters arrives in Copilot, Gemini, Claude or ChatGPT. This month the accounting systems, project tools, agent builders and voice platforms New Zealand businesses run on all moved too. Here is what changed, and what to do.

By Karrina Mountfort5 November 202617 min read24 entries

Most of the AI your team meets this year will not come from a chat app. It will turn up inside the tools you already pay for: your accounts, your project boards, your meetings and your phone line. This issue rounds up those changes in one place.

The pattern this month is the same everywhere. AI is moving from answering to acting: creating invoices, accepting bank reconciliations, sending emails and taking calls. And more of it is moving to pay-per-use credits. Both need a decision from someone in your business.

We only include changes with a date, a cost or something to do, checked against each vendor’s own notes. Prices are in US dollars unless we say otherwise; none of these vendors published New Zealand pricing for these changes. Entries are numbered so the checklist can point to them.

If you only have 2 minutes

  1. 1Your accounts can now talk to AI. Xero connects to Gemini, ChatGPT and Claude, and can create invoices once someone confirms. Decide who may connect it.
  2. 2MYOB apps retire on 23 November. Capture and Invoice are replaced by MYOB Assist in New Zealand. Move your team across now.
  3. 3Free AI Builder credits ended on 1 November. If you use AI Builder in Power Automate or Power Apps, it now draws on paid Copilot Credits.
  4. 4Jira and Confluence start metering on 3 December. Rovo AI and Jira automation beyond your allowance is charged from 3 December, switched on by default. Set a cap.
  5. 5Credits are the new price list. monday.com, Asana, Notion, HubSpot, Odoo and Business Central all bill AI by use. Set limits before the first bill, not after.
  6. 6Voice agents have model deadlines. ElevenLabs retires several models on 30 November and 11 December. Test replacements first.
  7. 7n8n 1.x support ends 31 December. Version 3 removes older building blocks. Upgrade in steps and test on a copy.

Accounting and ERP

1.Xero connects to Gemini, ChatGPT and Claude, and can act

Who: Xero users who also use an AI assistant · Rollout: Gemini from 14 October; ChatGPT and Claude from 16 September · Where: Inside Gemini, ChatGPT and Claude

Xero launched a connected app that brings live Xero data into Gemini, built on its JAX platform. People can ask about profit and loss, cash, overdue invoices and bills, and get charts back. It can also issue an invoice or send a payment reminder, after the person confirms. Xero says the data is used only for that session and is not used to train Gemini. Similar connections for ChatGPT and Claude launched in September, and Microsoft 365 is listed as coming soon.

Separately, Xero has overhauled user permissions. Roles have been renamed and admins can now stop standard users seeing bank balances, statement lines and feeds.

Why this matters

For the first time your accounting system can be read and changed from a chat window. Whoever connects it sees what their Xero role allows, so permissions decide what the AI can see.

  • In plain words: You can now ask an AI assistant about your Xero numbers, and it can send invoices if you say yes.
  • A real-world example: A Hawke’s Bay landscaping business lets the owner and the office manager connect Xero to Gemini, and checks first that the part-time bookkeeper cannot see bank feeds.
  • Our take: Useful, and worth trying. Review roles first, keep it to the people who already have full access, and treat the confirm step as a real check, not a click-through.

2.Xero’s MCP server, and API changes due in 2027

Who: Developers, and businesses with custom Xero integrations · Rollout: MCP server 15 October 2026; deadlines from January 2027 · Where: Xero developer platform

Xero launched a hosted MCP server, the standard way AI tools connect to business software, with tools across invoicing, accounting, reporting and payments. It is for apps on Xero’s paid Core developer tier or above, not for individual businesses.

Dates to note: from 14 January 2027 the invoice email endpoint returns a “too many requests” error when an organisation hits its daily limit; Classic Expenses API endpoints switch off in February 2027; and broad API permission scopes retire on 13 September 2027. A read-only Account Data API is in beta.

Why this matters

If anything custom connects to your Xero, these dates will reach you through it. Xero’s developer terms also ban using its data to train AI models.

  • In plain words: If someone built a connection to your Xero, they have changes to make in 2027.
  • A real-world example: A wholesaler’s order system sends invoices through Xero overnight. Its developer adds handling for the new error so a busy day does not silently stop invoices going out.
  • Our take: Send your integrator this entry. If you are planning an AI connection to Xero, building on the MCP server is the sensible route.

3.MYOB Capture and Invoice retire on 23 November; Iris rolls out

Who: New Zealand MYOB users · Rollout: MYOB Assist available in NZ from October; old apps retire 23 November 2026 · Where: MYOB mobile apps, MYOB Business and AccountRight

MYOB Assist, one mobile app for receipts, quotes and invoices, is now available in New Zealand and replaces the Capture and Invoice apps. AI category suggestions in Assist are in beta for early adopters.

MYOB also launched Iris, an AI layer across its products for Australian and New Zealand businesses: help inside tasks like reconciliation, proactive business insights, and an “Ask Iris” chat about your own data. MYOB has not published pricing or New Zealand timing for every part. An Action centre with AI insights is reaching a share of AccountRight customers, including in New Zealand.

Why this matters

Anyone snapping receipts or sending invoices from their phone with the old apps needs to switch before they stop.

  • In plain words: Two MYOB phone apps are ending this month. Use MYOB Assist instead.
  • A real-world example: A Nelson plumbing firm’s three tradies photograph receipts on the job with MYOB Capture. The office installs Assist on their phones this week and checks the first receipts come through.
  • Our take: The deadline is the urgent part. Iris is worth watching, but wait until MYOB says what it costs and when it reaches you.

4.Business Central 29.0: agents go live, and they bill per use

Who: Business Central Online customers and admins · Rollout: Available from October 2026; update window ends February 2027 · Where: Business Central admin center

The 2026 release wave 2 makes the Payables Agent generally available, with better purchase-order matching, plus a pane that shows all agents and a way to review what they produce. Running data queries through an MCP server is also generally available. Copilot chat and new Expense Agent features are in preview.

Admins can schedule the 29.0 update any time in the window ending February 2027. Agents use pay-per-use Copilot Credits, sold separately from the Business Central licence. Microsoft has also stopped publishing release plans; new features now appear on its AI at Work roadmap.

Why this matters

An agent that matches supplier invoices saves real time, but it starts a new, usage-based bill.

  • In plain words: Business Central has AI agents that can process invoices, and they cost extra per use.
  • A real-world example: A distributor processing 300 supplier invoices a month tries the Payables Agent on one supplier first, and checks the credit use before turning it on for the rest.
  • Our take: Schedule the update for a quiet week, then pilot one agent on one process with a credit limit in place.

5.NetSuite’s AI reaches New Zealand, and outside AI can reconcile

Who: NetSuite customers and admins · Rollout: Rolling out in Australia and New Zealand from late October 2026 · Where: NetSuite, and AI tools connected through MCP

NetSuite Next is now available in Australia and New Zealand, and Ask Oracle, a chat that answers questions from NetSuite data within your existing permissions, is rolling out to existing accounts. Industry agents and a library of agent “skills” were announced at SuiteWorld, with no New Zealand dates for most.

Bank reconciliation data is now open to outside AI tools through NetSuite’s MCP connection and API, and those tools can accept or reject reconciliation suggestions. AI settings have moved to Setup, Agent management.

Why this matters

An AI tool connected to NetSuite can now change reconciliation records, under whatever role it connects as.

  • In plain words: NetSuite’s AI is arriving here, and connected AI tools can now do bank reconciliation work.
  • A real-world example: A finance team connects Claude to NetSuite to speed up month-end, using a dedicated role that can suggest but not accept matches.
  • Our take: Before anyone connects an AI tool, give it its own role with the least access it needs. That one step is most of the safety.

6.Odoo 20: every AI feature now uses paid credits

Who: Odoo users on version 20 · Rollout: Odoo 20, released September 2026 · Where: Odoo AI, Settings → Integrations

Odoo 20’s agents can create and update records, including from an uploaded PDF, and can be triggered by automated or scheduled actions. Odoo can also act as an MCP server, so outside AI tools can read and edit its data.

All AI features now use credits bought through Odoo’s in-app purchase system. Odoo has not published a credit price for New Zealand.

Why this matters

AI that used to feel included now has a running cost, and an MCP connection opens your data to outside tools.

  • In plain words: Odoo’s AI can now do things for you, and you pay for it in credits.
  • A real-world example: A manufacturer uses an Odoo agent to turn emailed supplier PDFs into draft bills, and watches the credit balance for the first month.
  • Our take: Budget for credits. Approve MCP connections one by one, and leave Odoo’s “Allow Dynamic Client Registration” switched off, as Odoo’s own documentation advises.

7.Jira and Confluence: Rovo AI and automations are metered from 3 December

Who: Every paid Atlassian cloud customer · Rollout: From 3 December 2026 · Where: Atlassian Administration

Rovo credits now come as a monthly allowance per user, pooled across your organisation with no rollover: 25 on Standard, 70 on Premium and 150 on Enterprise for Jira and Confluence. Rovo Chat, agents and MCP calls use credits; search, summaries and definitions stay free. Extra use costs US$0.01 a credit, and it is switched on by default.

Jira automation is metered the same way. Every step in a rule counts against a pooled allowance of 400, 750 or 1,000 per user a month on Standard, Premium and Enterprise, with extra steps at US$0.50 per 1,000. If extra usage is off, rules stop when the allowance runs out.

Why this matters

Busy automations and enthusiastic Rovo users can now run up a bill, or, if you switch extra usage off, stop working partway through the month.

  • In plain words: Atlassian starts charging for heavy AI and automation use on 3 December, unless you set a limit.
  • A real-world example: A software firm finds one Jira rule that runs on every comment and uses most of its automation allowance. It narrows the trigger before December.
  • Our take: Before 3 December, check your heaviest automation rules, set a spending cap, and make sure the 80% and 100% alerts reach someone who will act on them.

8.monday.com: tighter AI controls and per-user credit limits

Who: monday.com admins on paid plans · Rollout: Announced at Elevate, 28 to 29 October; posted 3 November 2026 · Where: monday.com admin

AI can now be limited to a single board or Slack channel, and monday says nothing is reachable by default. Admins can set AI credit limits per user, get alerts before a budget runs out and see where credits go. Agents from other platforms can be managed alongside monday’s own, in beta. An Organization Hub showing AI spend across accounts is due in the first half of 2027.

Agent work uses AI credits. monday’s catalogue shows tasks using different amounts of credits depending on how complex they are.

Why this matters

Agents that can see every board can see things they should not, and credits spent by one enthusiastic user come out of everyone’s budget.

  • In plain words: monday.com lets you limit what its AI can see and how much each person can spend.
  • A real-world example: A construction firm keeps its monday agents to project boards only, away from the HR and pricing boards, and gives each project manager a monthly credit limit.
  • Our take: Set per-user credit limits and check which boards AI can reach. Only admins should create agents.

9.Asana: 30 ready-made AI Teammates that can act in your other tools

Who: Paid Asana customers · Rollout: 1 and 22 October 2026 · Where: Asana AI Studio and AI Teammates

Asana released more than 30 ready-made AI Teammates for marketing, operations and IT, and Asana Dash, which flags what needs attention. AI Teammates can now act in Google Drive, OneDrive, Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook, Slack, Teams, Canva and HubSpot, and can connect to MCP servers using each person’s own login. Eligible people can now switch on AI Studio themselves.

AI Teammates and Dash share a pool of AI requests per account; extra requests cost US$0.50 to US$0.60 each, and admins can set a monthly cap.

Why this matters

An AI Teammate that can send email or edit files acts with the access of the person who connected it.

  • In plain words: Asana’s AI helpers can now work in your email and files, and people can turn them on themselves.
  • A real-world example: A marketing team uses a ready-made Teammate to turn briefs into tasks, but keeps email access off until the team lead has tested it.
  • Our take: Decide whether staff can switch on AI Studio and connect tools without an admin, then set the monthly cap.

10.ClickUp: new plans with AI included, for some workspaces

Who: New ClickUp buyers, and workspaces offered the new plans · Rollout: Appearing from late October 2026 · Where: ClickUp billing

ClickUp’s pricing page now shows Core at US$9 and Business at US$17 per user a month billed yearly, plus a new MAX plan at US$100, each with ClickUp Brain and a monthly pool of AI credits included. The separate Brain and Everything AI add-ons are gone on the new plans. Super Agents use credits on every plan, and extra credits are sold in packs with auto top-up shown as on.

ClickUp says not every workspace sees the new plans yet, and current plans do not change automatically.

Why this matters

At renewal you may be offered a different way of paying for AI, and auto top-up can lift the bill without anyone deciding to.

  • In plain words: ClickUp is bundling AI into its plans. Compare before you renew.
  • A real-world example: A 15-person agency paying for the Brain add-on compares that cost with the new Business plan before its renewal date.
  • Our take: Compare what you pay now with the bundled plans before renewing, and turn off auto top-up if you want a firm ceiling.

ClickUp: Pricing · ClickUp: Changelog

11.Microsoft Planner: Copilot can run your plans

Who: Microsoft 365 Copilot users · Rollout: Early access in October; rolling out worldwide in November 2026 · Where: Planner, Copilot Cowork, Outlook and Teams

Copilot Cowork can now view, create and update Planner plans, buckets, goals and tasks from plain-language requests, and writes progress back once the person approves it. The Planner Agent also lost its 30-task limit when building plans, can assign owners, and is available inside Outlook and Teams channels.

Why this matters

If your team plans work in Planner, Copilot can now do the admin, but only as well as your plans are set up.

  • In plain words: Copilot can now build and update your Planner plans for you.
  • A real-world example: An events company asks Cowork to turn a run sheet into a Planner plan with owners, then checks it before sharing with suppliers.
  • Our take: Worth a try for repeat projects. Check owners and dates before anyone else sees the plan.

AI assistants beyond the big four

12.Grok: one subscription, and a business tier to use instead of personal accounts

Who: Anyone using Grok for work · Rollout: New plans from 12 October 2026 · Where: Grok, X and console.x.ai

xAI, which now trades as SpaceX Super Intelligence, launched the X Subscription: Free, Plus (US$8), Premium (US$30), Super (US$100) and Ultra (US$200) a month, with Grok usage shared across Grok, X and the Cursor coding tool. Teams get the same per-seat prices plus single sign-on, admin controls and usage analytics. Grok Business is still listed at US$30 per user a month, with no training on your data and custom retention. How Teams and Business relate is not yet clear.

xAI’s enterprise terms, last updated 27 October, say customers should only send personal information through its zero data retention API, and that business content is not used to train models.

Why this matters

Staff using personal Grok or X accounts for work do not get the business privacy terms or admin controls.

  • In plain words: Grok has new plans. If people use it for work, put them on a business plan.
  • A real-world example: A marketing agency finds two staff using personal SuperGrok accounts for client research, and moves them to a business plan with connectors approved by an admin.
  • Our take: Grok is a capable tool, but the personal-information clause matters under the Privacy Act. Agree what may go into it before rolling it out.

13.Perplexity: connector controls, scheduled automations, and a costly speed setting

Who: Perplexity Pro, Max and Enterprise users · Rollout: 5 and 19 October 2026 · Where: Perplexity admin settings and Computer

On sales-assisted Enterprise plans, admins can now limit each connector to everyone, admins only or chosen roles, and new connectors start switched off. Computer, Perplexity’s agent, can run tasks on a schedule or when something happens in a connected app, and can pause for review before acting.

A new Ultrafast setting for some models uses more credits than the normal settings.

Why this matters

Automations that act on connected apps need a review step, and a default speed setting can quietly use up credits.

  • In plain words: Perplexity can now run jobs by itself, and admins can choose who uses which connections.
  • A real-world example: A consultancy schedules a weekly competitor summary in Perplexity, with review switched on before anything is sent.
  • Our take: Keep “pause for review” on for anything that sends or changes data, and tell staff Ultrafast costs more.

Perplexity changelog: connector controls and Ultrafast models (19 October 2026) · Perplexity changelog: Automations (5 October 2026)

14.Notion AI moves to credits, with new controls for outside AI tools

Who: Notion Business and Enterprise workspaces · Rollout: New customers from 19 October; existing customers from 2 November 2026 · Where: Notion settings

Business and Enterprise seats now include 1,500 Standard credits and 500 Select credits a month. Choosing a premium model or running Custom Agents uses Select credits, and admins can buy more. Notion lists extra Custom Agent credits at US$10 per 1,000. From 1 December, AI Meeting Notes also start using the Standard allowance.

Notion 3.8 lets admins see which outside AI tools are connected through MCP and by whom, revoke access, limit connections to verified or approved tools, and control which database fields each person or agent can see.

Why this matters

Shared agents can use up credits fast, and connected AI tools can read whatever their user can.

  • In plain words: Notion AI now has a monthly allowance, and admins can see and control which AI tools are connected.
  • A real-world example: A design studio limits Custom Agents to two owners, restricts premium models, and hides the fees column from connected AI tools.
  • Our take: Check the transition email, set spending limits, and audit connected AI tools this month.

15.Slackbot can send email and manage calendars, if you allow it

Who: Slack workspace owners and admins · Rollout: October 2026 · Where: Admin settings → Slackbot

Admins can now decide whether people may let Slackbot manage calendar events and draft and send emails for them, once they connect Google or Outlook. Slack does not say whether these start on or off. Workflows that send AI-generated content to other apps now pause for human review by default.

Why this matters

An assistant that sends email in someone’s name needs a decision, not a default.

  • In plain words: Slack’s assistant can now send emails for people. Decide whether you want that.
  • A real-world example: A recruitment firm lets Slackbot manage calendars but keeps email sending off until it has written guidance.
  • Our take: Check both settings today and keep the human review step on for anything customers will see.

16.Canva launches its own image model

Who: All Canva users · Rollout: 22 October 2026 · Where: Canva Dream Lab

Canva Craft is Canva’s first in-house image model, trained on its own templates, and available to all users in Dream Lab. Faster versions and MCP access are coming, with no pricing yet. Canva also announced a restructure in early November; no plan or price changes came with it.

Why this matters

No action needed, but brand teams will see a new option for generated images.

  • In plain words: Canva has its own AI image maker now.
  • A real-world example: A café chain’s marketer tries Craft for menu backgrounds and keeps photos of real food for anything customers will order from.
  • Our take: Nothing to do. Watch for pricing or plan changes in 2027.

17.Free AI Builder credits ended on 1 November

Who: Businesses using AI Builder in Power Apps or Power Automate · Rollout: In effect from 1 November 2026 · Where: Power Platform admin center

Some Power Apps, Power Automate and Dynamics 365 licences used to come with a monthly allowance of AI Builder credits. That ended on 1 November. AI Builder features, such as reading documents and running prompts, now need Copilot Studio capacity, paid as you go or in advance.

Separately, agents built for Copilot Chat gained scripted topics, connected agents, evaluations, usage monitoring and separate test and production versions, generally available from 26 October.

Why this matters

A flow that reads invoices or emails with AI Builder may stop or start costing money this month.

  • In plain words: Microsoft’s free AI allowance in Power Automate has ended. You now pay per use.
  • A real-world example: An insurance broker’s flow reads PDF claim forms with AI Builder. The admin checks usage, buys a small pay-as-you-go allowance and sets an alert.
  • Our take: Look at AI Builder usage this week. Microsoft announced this a year ago, but many businesses will only notice when something breaks.

18.Gemini Enterprise: spending limits, and Claude models to switch on

Who: Gemini Enterprise admins · Rollout: 6 to 27 October 2026 · Where: Gemini Enterprise admin, Usage & Spending

Admins can now set pay-as-you-go limits above quota by tier, and from 22 October set quota limits for individual users. Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 are available in the Gemini Enterprise app, off by default, billed per use, and only processed in global, US and EU locations. Workflow Builder, formerly Agent Designer, added Teams, Notion, Salesforce, Confluence and Jira connectors.

Why this matters

New models and connectors widen what agents can do, and what they can cost.

  • In plain words: Gemini Enterprise admins can now cap spending per person, and can turn on Claude models.
  • A real-world example: An engineering consultancy caps per-user spend, then switches on Claude for its document team only.
  • Our take: Set per-user limits first, then decide on extra models, keeping in mind where the data is processed.

19.n8n 3.0 arrives, and version 1 support ends 31 December

Who: Everyone running n8n, cloud or self-hosted · Rollout: Beta now; stable expected early December 2026 · Where: n8n

n8n 3.0 removes several older nodes, including Function, Item Lists, Cron, Interval and the old OpenAI node. The default Code node timeout drops from five minutes to one, self-hosting needs Docker, and you cannot roll back after upgrading.

Version 1 support ends on 31 December 2026, and there is no direct jump from 1 to 3. Version 2 keeps security fixes for a year after 3.0 is stable.

Why this matters

Workflows built on removed nodes will break on upgrade, and staying on version 1 means no fixes after December.

  • In plain words: n8n is changing a lot. Move to version 2 now, and test before going to 3.
  • A real-world example: A property manager’s n8n server runs a nightly Cron workflow. It upgrades to 2.39, runs the migration report and fixes the flagged nodes on a copy first.
  • Our take: Do this in two steps: version 2 before Christmas, version 3 once it is stable and tested.

20.Make adds audit logs and roles for AI agents

Who: Make teams running agents · Rollout: 20 October 2026 · Where: Make organisation settings

Make’s Waves ’26 release added audit logs covering agents and MCP, custom roles, private spaces, sub-agents, and memory for its Maia assistant. Agent evaluations and AI spend tracking are coming. No pricing changes were announced.

Why this matters

Logs and roles are what let you see what an agent did and limit who can change it.

  • In plain words: Make now records what agents do and lets you control who can edit them.
  • A real-world example: An accounting practice puts client-facing scenarios in a private space only two people can edit.
  • Our take: Set up custom roles and private spaces now; they cost nothing and save a headache later.

Make Blog: Waves ’26 (20 October 2026)

21.HubSpot caps AI credit spending by default

Who: HubSpot customers using Breeze agents · Rollout: Updated 15 October 2026 · Where: HubSpot account settings

Spend controls are on by default, with an account limit of up to 50% above your monthly credits. You can also set limits per feature or action, swap seats for credits, and choose credit packs or pay as you go.

Why this matters

The default cap protects your budget, but it can also stop an agent partway through a busy month.

  • In plain words: HubSpot now limits AI spending automatically. Check the limit suits you.
  • A real-world example: An online retailer’s customer agent hits the cap during a sale. Setting a higher limit just for that agent would have kept it answering.
  • Our take: Set per-feature limits that match how much each agent matters to you.

22.ElevenLabs voice agents: model retirements on 30 November and 11 December

Who: Anyone running ElevenLabs voice agents · Rollout: Stepped from 11 November to 11 December 2026 · Where: ElevenLabs Agents

Several AI models behind ElevenLabs agents are retiring. The OpenAI gpt-5 family is being phased out ahead of OpenAI’s 11 December shutdown, with traffic moving across from 11 November. Claude Sonnet 4.5 is retired on 30 November, and Gemini 2.5 Flash models stop the same day.

Billing also changed: calls stop billing when the call ends, a voice surcharge is shown separately, and guardrails are generally available.

Why this matters

An AI receptionist that changes model can sound and behave differently with real callers.

  • In plain words: The AI brains behind some voice agents are being swapped. Test before they switch.
  • A real-world example: A physio clinic’s booking line runs on Sonnet 4.5. The clinic tests Sonnet 4.6 with ten sample calls before 30 November.
  • Our take: Pick the replacement yourself and test it, rather than waiting to be moved.

ElevenLabs: Changelog

23.Vapi and Retell: consent settings and caller memory

Who: Businesses running AI phone agents · Rollout: October to early November 2026 · Where: Vapi and Retell AI

On Vapi, calls that combine the new GPT-Live voice with a recording-consent plan are now rejected, because GPT-Live does not support consent plans. On Retell, Conversation Memory keeps a summary of each caller by phone number, updated after calls and texts, at US$0.005 per update, and follows your storage and redaction settings.

Why this matters

Recording consent and remembering callers are both privacy decisions, not just features.

  • In plain words: Phone agents can now remember callers, and some voice options do not support consent messages.
  • A real-world example: A real estate agency’s phone agent remembers returning buyers. It turns on redaction so phone numbers and bank details are not stored in the summary.
  • Our take: If you rely on a consent message, avoid GPT-Live on Vapi. Before switching on caller memory, decide what may be kept and tell callers.

24.Meeting AI goes live in the call

Who: Paid Otter and Zoom users · Rollout: Otter from 27 October; Zoom from November to January 2027 · Where: Otter, Zoom Workplace

Otter’s Work Mode prepares briefs before meetings and handles follow-ups after, including CRM updates and drafted emails. Live Assist shows private coaching prompts during Zoom, Teams and Meet calls, rolling out to paid plans over the coming weeks.

Zoom announced Centralized AI Management and deepfake detection for December 2026, a My Notes mobile app and “Follow Meeting” auto-start note-taking for December, and AI guardrails for early 2027. Superhuman has bought Fathom, with no changes to pricing or data handling announced yet.

Why this matters

AI that listens and prompts during a call, or starts note-taking by itself, changes what people on the other end should be told.

  • In plain words: Meeting tools now coach you live and can start taking notes on their own.
  • A real-world example: A financial adviser adds a line to meeting invites saying an AI notetaker is used, and turns off auto-start for client reviews.
  • Our take: Write down your rule for AI in meetings now, before auto-start arrives in December. One paragraph is enough.

How this issue was put together

We checked each fact against the vendor’s own release notes, help pages, blogs or press releases from 1 October to 5 November 2026, plus a few earlier announcements whose deadlines fall now. Where a vendor’s site blocked automated reading, we used archived copies of its own pages. Microsoft Message Center notices were read through a public mirror, and NetSuite’s New Zealand timing comes from trade press. We left out anything we could not confirm.

Every fact links to its source. Prices are in US dollars. None of these vendors published New Zealand pricing for these changes. The examples are made-up New Zealand businesses, not clients.
